A Little About Me & This Blog
Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 07:38PM Hello, my name is Michelle Moseley. I'd like to welcome you to my blog.
Before I jump right in and tell you all about me and my blog, I just want to tell you why I picked this particular theme. I think of the butterfly as a great inspiration. Think about what it has to overcome to even become a butterfly. First it begins as a lowly caterpillar. Then it spends an extremely long time in a cocoon. This cocoon gets VERY cramped as time goes on. The suddenly, it over and an amazingly beautiful butterfly emerges. But, wait, it's not ready to fly, yet. It is weak, wet and guess what, it has never flown before. So, it spends even more time drying its wings by slowly opening and closing them. As they dry, they are getting stronger. Soon, it's wings are dry and its off, flying, free from anything holding it back! What amazing freedom.
The reason I like this concept is because I try to apply it to my life. I don't want to spend my life crawling around like a catapillar. I certainly don't want to be confined, like being in a cacoon. I want to soar. I want my life to be one of freedom.

So, now on to my blog. Thanks for letting me ramble for a minute. :-)
This blog is all about Network Marketing and Attraction Marketing and how they work together to create time and financial freedom. Just as the butterfly has to learn how to fly, this blog is to help you learn attraction marketing for your network marketing business. I hope I can help you fly!! :-)
I wear several different hats, but for this blog, I'm a network marketer, Internet marketer and attraction marketer. That's enough hats for now.
I have been in the network marketing industry for 4 years. It has been a struggle for me. I'm not good at prospecting and recruiting. I just don't seem to have that makeup. But, I'm coachable, so as uncomfortable as it has been, I have done everything my upline has told me to do and then some.
1. I made my names list.
2. I made three way calls to everyone on it.
3. I went to all the meetings
4. I tried to prospect every where I went. I was always in prospecting mode.
5. I purchased leads and called all of them.
6. I went to all the trainings.
7. I was coachable.
8. I had my "why".
9. I had my goals list and I read it twice a day.
10. I showed "the plan".
Looking back, I can't think of any uncomfortable thing that I didn't do. If they told me to do it, I at least gave it my best. I talked to friends, family, clients, strangers, etc.
Do you know what all that work got me................nothing. Nothing but a large credit card bill and some people who no longer speak to me. Oh, wait, I did sign up 4 people. Two have since dropped out. Is it any wonder? They did not want to continue prospecting in this manner. I'm too stuborn to give up. I just keep hanging in there and looking for a way to make this work that is comfortable for me. Some people would rather give up, but not me.

I have purchased books to help. They were over my head. I'm not very computer literate. I tried for 2 years to find help on the Internet.
I did finally find something and I would like to share with you. This has renewed my hope for the future of my network marketing business. My hope is that it will help you too. You can read about in the other pages of this blog. May I suggest reading my entries in this order? This will keep it all in order for you. Feel free to just bounce around if that is more to your liking.
1. Read the free book, The 7 Great Lies Of Network Marketing
2. Order this book, it costs $67.00. The Renegade Network Marketer
3. Register for a free membership to The Renegade University
4. Now, as of March, 2009, Ann Sieg has come out with yet another free marketing resourse. This one is called The Attraction Marketers Manifesto. This book talks about marketing online and how you can get SO many offers of the latest and greatest. You can find yourself pulled in way too many directions and end up with information overload. If this happens, you will feel overwhelmed and quit. Read this book to learn how to simplify your online marketing. Stick with one program and avoid information overload.
One more thing, The Renegade has recently added The Renegade Professional This is a $50.00 dollar per month, step by step training system. Check out some of the free stuff you see here. You can also read The Renegade Professionlas blog. It gives a ton of information as well as some free stuff.
Read whatever else catches your eye. Let me know if you need any help along the way. I myself have needed help and would be happy to help you with what I have learned. It has been an amazing journey so far and I'm looking forward to getting you started on this same amazing journey toward financial freedom through this awesome vehicle called Network Marketing with Attraction Marketing as the power behind the vehicle.
How can I help you?

Hi Michelle, I love your theme and your analogy for selecting it. You are providing so much value on your blog, just browsing through I learned quite a few tips on attraction marketing.

You are an inspiration to so many people in the mlm industry. Your story of struggle and failure which is all to common using the old methods of building a mlm business and your drive to succeed by learning new skills is amazing. If people are looking for someone to learn from they would be lucky if they found you. :-)
Hi Michelle,
I love your analogy of the butterfly. You know life is just like that... and even in business too! Its just amazing how things can change, just in the instance of the butterfly "its begins to fly." We just need to be pointed in the right direction.
Thanks for sharing,
Donna Wells
Hi Michelle
I really enjoyed reading your story, I love your analogy of the catepiller and the butterfly. Not only is it true about life but you can really relate it to netowork marketing. I enjoyed how you laid things out in due course for someone looking at attraction marketing has a map to follow to help them towards their goal. I liked the way you have implemented the free training as well for someone who may be on a budget. I really enjoyed looking through your blog.
Hi Michelle, I think of butterflies often, too and always amazed to watch slo mo video of them rebirthing as a butterfly. I'm loving Renegade. Sounds like you do, too. See you around. P.S. Didn't know you were a cosmotologist.
A Butterfly: What a striking and accurate analogy to learning to work online from home.
It takes time, patience, persistence and above all a VISION! But if you take each step in it's turn, learn what you need to move forward and always take action, in time, like the butterfly you will FLY!
