How Is Network Marketing Like Exercise?
Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 08:07AM I am a health nut and I spend a lot of time exercising, so I know some about what it takes to get good at it. As much as I do it, I'm still no expert, but I'm a work in progress. Exercise is not usually something that can be jumped into with both feet, full steam ahead. There is a learning curve. It takes time to learn and then to slowly implement what you have learned. If you try to do too much too soon, you will hurt. You can strain muscles, pull muscles and basically put yourself out of commission for quite a while depending on the severity of the injury.
So in order to get fit and healthy, it is best to learn the basics and start slowly. Just do it in small steps. Don't try to do too much and either hurt yourself or just plain overwhelm yourself. You can always add more later. Start with a nice walk for 15 minutes, 3 times per week, for a couple of weeks. Add 5 minutes for the next week. Keep adding 5 minutes every week until you are walking for an hour 3 times per week. Can you see how this can take some time. If you follow this schedule it will take you 11 to 12 weeks to work up to this.
How is Network Marketing Like Exercise?
Network Marketing works much in the same way. You must take the time to learn whatever you need to, so that it will grow into a successful home based business. It takes time and effort to learn and implement what you learn. Don't try to do everything all at once. You will overwhelm yourself and go into over load. Take your time, implement one thing at a time and over time, (it might take more than 11 to 12 weeks) it will all come together and you will have a "fit" business.
Here are some business ideas.
Network marketing has come a long way over the past few years. There have been revolutionary changes that have come about as a result of the Internet. It will not happen over night, but with this proper training, it will happen. Give it time. Don't strain anything.
Your next step in your learning curve could be to visit The Renegade University. With step by step instructions, you won't strain anything and you don't have to feel over whelmed. Step by do-able step.
No muscle strains this way and learning can be done at your pace, in your time. If ever there was a time to whip your business into shape, now would be that time and these two resources will give you all the information you need to do just that. Lets see how many businesses can become "fit" and strong!!!

Michelle,
I am a membership director for a Wellness Center and this is so true. I'd like to add that many people begin to see results in the gym after about 2 months of consistent work. More people drop out of their exercise programs before the 2 month mark....Why? They get discouraged because they don't get results fast enough.
See the coorelation? I do! Same here. We have to do the consistent effort and not look for results too early in the game.

Hey Michelle, Great analogy!
Unfortunately we have become a society who expects instant results. We no longer know how to sow our seeds, tend to them and wait for results...
We want "blazing fast" everything... from fitness to our bank accounts.
And for some reason no matter how many times the quick fix doesn't work... we still expect the next "instant weight loss" thingie to make us look like a cover model or the Get Rick Quick plan over there to fill our pockets with cash...
It's silly. Our grandparents knew that solid consistent effort is what it takes to succeed. It's time we relearned this basic truth.
Thank you for reminding folks of this. Keep spreading the word.
